Nursing Now: 23 Young Nurses, 2019

Nursing Now, in partnership with the World Innovation Summit for Health, the International Council of Nurses and Sigma Theta Tau International, chose 23 young nurses and midwives to attend a pre-World Health Assembly event in Geneva. The aim of the event was to nurses and midwives at the start of their careers to better understand international health policy and how to influence it.

Nightingale is respected worldwide for her pioneering role in developing the nursing profession, her statistical work, and her evidence-based approach to healthcare. In honour of her bicentenary the World Health Organisation have named 2020 the Year of the Nurse and Midwife.
