Meet Florence Nightingale: Home Learner Events

Did you know Florence Nightingale was home educated? That she was the first women entered in to the Royal Statistical Society? Or that she had a pet owl called Athena?

Discover the story of Florence Nightingale and how she became the “Lady with the Lamp” with one of our special events for home educating families. Sessions begin with an interactive performance by the museum’s own ‘Florence Nightingale’ describing her life and work. This is then followed by self-directed activities in the museum and chances to ask Miss Nightingale any questions you may have.

All sessions start at 12:30 and will end at 14:00.

We recommend these events for Ages 5-12 but it is suitable for the whole family!

Tickets are £6 (+booking fee) per child. 1 Adult per child goes free.
