Meet Florence Nightingale: Home Learners Event

Did you know Florence Nightingale was home schooled? That she was the first women entered in to the Royal Statistical Society? Or that she had a pet owl called Athena?

Discover the story of Florence Nightingale and how she became the “Lady with the Lamp” with this special event for home educating families. The session begins with an interactive performance by the museum’s own ‘Florence Nightingale’ describing her life and work. This is then followed by self-directed activities in the museum and chances to ask Miss Nighitngale any questions you may have.

Date: Monday 16th September

The session will start at 12:30. Please feel free to arrive 15 minutes before the session. The session will end at 14:00.

We recommend this event for Ages 5-12 but it is suitable for the whole family!

Tickets are £6 (+booking fee) per child. 1 Adult per child goes free.
