A year to remember
Florence Nightingale was born in 1820 so throughout her bicentenary year in 2020 there will be a series of events to celebrate, both here at the museum and with our partners internationally.
At the museum we will be focusing on our ‘Florence Nightingale: Leader, Icon, Pioneer’ exhibition. Florence is remembered as the founder of modern nursing, but she was so much more; a female icon in her own lifetime, a healthcare pioneer, an influential statistician, a trailblazer and a leader. And her legacy still lives on today.
