Commemorating Jacqueline Andrea BROWN BSc (hons) RN/DN

Jackie trained in Essex in the early and mid 1980s at Orsett School of Nursing.

Popular and talented from the start, after a brief spell in SCBU Jackie found her true passion for caring in the community where she went on to become a senior nurse, winning several awards for innovation at local and national level.  Jackie worked hard at her achievements of which her colleague’s friends and family were very proud.

Jackie also developed training programs for the community and nursing home staff, always giving her expertise to develop others and help them to make a difference. Eventually, such was her success that she started and managed her own training company.

Jackie loved and surrounded herself with people always looking out for those less able.

She made friends easily and had several long time and lasting friendships from many walks of life.

Very close to her family, sisters, brother, children, and grandchildren Jackie was a fun and life loving individual simply the best company and confidant to her close friends also. Whatever the occasion Jackie would always be invited and involved.

An avid music fan she epitomized a sense of occasion and threw herself into any social event with sophisticated style and fun.

This kept her forever young at heart but with enormous wisdom (and the most wicked sense of humour).

Jackie very suddenly lost her life following a short illness, on top of which she contracted Covid 19 in the UKs first wave of the pandemic in 2020.  She will be remembered with great affection by all who knew and met her.
