Colleen Haag Russell

Colleen Russell (Haag) was born in DuBois, PA, on October 29th, 1970.  She graduated from Punxsutawney Area High School in 1988.  She matriculated the Altoona School of Nursing where she recited the Florence Nightingale pledge and earned her diploma and Registered Nurse licensure in 1991.  She started her nursing career at the DuBois Regional Medical Center on the Medical/Surgical Telemetry floor.  She worked as a labor and delivery nurse on the OB/GYN unit for over 19 years.  She became a Certified Childbirth Educator and taught childbirth classes throughout the community.  She currently practices nursing in the Presurgery Department of Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital.

Colleen married Bradford Russell in October of 1993.  She has two sons of which she is very proud, Wesley and Jonathan Russell.  She still resides with her husband in DuBois, Pennsylvania.

Colleen is a kind and compassionate nurse who has a professional and empathetic manner.  She is an asset to her community as evidenced by the number of parents and children who still thank her for her outstanding care during the labor and delivery experience.  Colleen’s favorite memory of nursing was coaching mothers during labor and being with the parents during the delivery of their newborns. It was a very exciting and rewarding experience!  Colleen’s commitment to her patients reflects the spirit of the Florence Nightingale pledge.
