Meet Mary Seacole and Mix a Medicine

Thursday 6th August marks Jamaican Independence Day and you are invited to join us in celebration of the wonderful British-Jamaican Doctress- Mary Seacole.

Discover the exciting life of Mary Seacole told in her own words with our interactive performances, learn about how she aided soldiers during the Crimean War and earned the nickname ‘Mother Seacole’. Witness history in a completely unique and fun way.

You can also have a go at diagnosing a soldier and finding the best herbal remedy to help them recover with our interactive mix a medicine activity.

Performances are at 11:30am, 1:30pm, 3:30pm and last approximately 30 minutes. Mix a medicine is a drop in activity available from 10:00am-4:30pm.

All performances are included in general admission. Tickets are available for purchase online or in-person.

All tickets purchased through the museum are annual passes allowing you unlimited entry for 12 months!
