Mamá, hoy queremos celebrar y honrar tu carrera como enfermera. Hace 36 años iniciaste una de las etapas más importantes de tu vida. Aunque al principio quizá no imaginabas que esta sería tu profesión, con el tiempo se volvió evidente que era tu destino: ayudar a las personas con dedicación, sensibilidad y un profundo sentido humano. Tu responsabilidad, tu bondad y tu altruismo se volvieron parte esencial de ti, y hasta hoy sigues demostrando que, cuando está en tus manos, siempre eliges ayudar a los demás.

A lo largo de tu trayectoria también enfrentaste retos importantes: estudiaste una especialidad y, hace diez años, lograste obtener tu grado de licenciatura, demostrando que nunca es tarde para cumplir metas, y que tu constancia y tu compromiso con la excelencia siempre te han guiado. En ese camino encontraste también amistades que hoy son parte de tu vida: Emilia, Vero, Mónica, Lolita, Flor, Silvia… compañeras que fueron apoyo, inspiración y familia dentro del hospital.

Tu paso por el Centro Médico Nacional 20 de Noviembre dejó una huella profunda, no solo entre colegas, sino también en los pacientes. Muchos de ellos te recordaban y buscaban por tu buen trato, por tu paciencia y por la empatía con la que acompañabas los momentos difíciles. Ese reconocimiento silencioso, pero tan significativo, es la prueba más clara de la nobleza con la que ejerciste tu vocación.

Este año concluiste oficialmente tu carrera profesional tras dedicar más de tres décadas al servicio. Ejerciste con entrega admirable en áreas como la Unidad Coronaria y Hematología, donde además fuiste jefa de servicio durante los últimos 15 años. Ese liderazgo, construido con esfuerzo, paciencia y resiliencia, dejó una marca imborrable en quienes tuvieron la fortuna de trabajar contigo.

Gracias por guiarnos con tu ejemplo, por tu fuerza, tu disciplina y tu enorme corazón. Gracias por trabajar tanto por nosotras y por ayudarnos a construir nuestro propio futuro. Y, sobre todo, queremos que tú también te sientas profundamente orgullosa de todo lo que lograste, de la mujer que eres y de la gran huella que dejaste en cada etapa de tu vida profesional.

Mom, today we want to celebrate and honor your career as a nurse. Thirty-six years ago, you began one of the most important stages of your life. Although at first you may not have imagined that this would become your profession, over time it became clear that it was your destiny: to help others with dedication, sensitivity, and a deep human spirit. Your responsibility, kindness, and altruism became an essential part of who you are, and to this day you continue to show that whenever it is in your hands, you always choose to help others.

Throughout your career, you also faced important challenges: you pursued a specialty and, ten years ago, you earned your bachelor’s degree—proving that it is never too late to achieve your goals, and that your consistency and your commitment to excellence have always guided you. Along the way, you also found friendships that are now part of your life: Emilia, Vero, Mónica, Lolita, Flor, Silvia… colleagues who became support, inspiration, and family within the hospital.
Your time at the Centro Médico Nacional 20 de Noviembre left a profound mark, not only among colleagues but also among patients. Many of them remembered you and sought you out for your kindness, your patience, and the empathy with which you accompanied them through difficult moments. That silent yet meaningful recognition is the clearest proof of the nobility with which you carried out your vocation.

This year, after more than three decades of service, you officially concluded your professional career. You worked with admirable dedication in areas such as the Coronary Unit and Hematology, where you also served as head of service for the last 15 years. That leadership—built through effort, patience, and resilience—left an indelible mark on all those who had the fortune to work with you.

Thank you for guiding us with your example, for your strength, your discipline, and your enormous heart. Thank you for working so hard for us and for helping us build our own future. And above all, we want you to feel deeply proud of everything you achieved, of the woman you are, and of the lasting impact you left at every stage of your professional life.
