Museum Tours & Talks

Join one of our team for a 15 minute museum highlight tour showcasing our star objects and sharing background on Nightingale’s life.

We run a series of tours and talks including:

  • Nightingale And Her Pets
  • Alexis Soyer Culinary Genius
  • The Other Nightingale Sister
  • Handling Trolley: Victorian Life In Objects
  • Handling Trolley: Crimean War

Tour and talk topics change daily. Details of what’s on can be found on the chalkboard at the museum entrance. Alternatively, you can phone the museum on the morning of your visit to find out which tour/talk will be taking place.

The tours and talks are at 3:30pm every day the museum is open (Wednesday – Sunday). There are additional tours/talks at 11:30am on Saturdays and Sundays only (except when there are other performances). Tours/talks are included in museum entry price.

In the exhibition space, nine visitors stand viewing different displays. A number are looking at a tour guide, who is talking. There is a bench for public use and display cases containing artifacts.
