Next Generation Nightingale badge, 2017
Display No. 156
In honour of Florence Nightingale, who established her nursing school at St Thomas’ Hospital in 1859, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust offers their nursing and midwifery staff the chance to become a ‘Next Generation Nightingale’.
The scheme opened in 2017 and participants must complete a training programme inspired by Florence’s legacy. Once the course is successfully completed, nurses are given the title ‘Nightingale Nurse’.
