Stop people in the street and ask them what Florence Nightingale means to them and it’s likely that they will say ‘nursing’ or ‘Crimea’. But there was so much more.
Kissing Miss Nightingale’s Shadow is a new play written by George Gunby with music by John Tams & Mat Williams which offers a wider view of the life of the ‘most famous woman in the world’. The play will tour Derbyshire during the bicentenary week, starting on 11 May, with West End actress Ellie Ward in the title role.
Kissing Miss Nightingale’s Shadow will then tour the UK throughout 2020 and into spring 2021.
