Helen has been an Army Reserve nurse for over 20 years, alongside her civilian role working across NHS hospitals in Edinburgh. Having learned from deployments in war zones, her expertise proved invaluable when nursing through the COVID-19 pandemic and called upon in wave one to help establish the temporary critical care hospital in Glasgow, the NHS Louisa Jordan.
