The Lost Art of Letter Writing
07 August 2014 13:00 - 16:00
Florence Nightingale Museum
7th August 11am – 1pm and 2pm – 4pm
This session is included in the museum ticket price and there is no need to book.
Meet a First World War nurse and explore the role that letter writing played in the war at our free drop in session, part of our 1914 centenary programme. Letters from home were a lifeline for both soldiers and the medical teams and nurses who cared for them, and the letters that nurses received and mean we can learn about their experiences. Practice your creative skills at this historic workshop.
