Primary School Booking Information

The Museum offers educational sessions to primary schools to support Key Stage 1, year 2, unit 4 ‘Why do we remember Florence Nightingale?’, and any other Primary School classes studying Florence Nightingale.
“A Visit with Miss Nightingale “
The Session
Your class will be welcomed to the Museum by an actress in role as Miss Nightingale and experience a 30 minute performance. Miss Nightingale describes her life, why she went to the Crimea, how she made it better for the soldiers and nurses, and what happened as a result of her work. Miss Nightingale will also be on hand to assist with the Miss Nightingale’s Box gallery activities. If time allows at the end, Miss Nightingale will show your class a replica Crimean nurses and a soldiers uniform, that can be tried on.
Class size
Up to 35 pupils per session can be accommodated.
Session times
Every week day 10.00am - 12.00pm or 12.00pm - 14.00pm
