What's on

Summer holiday's at the museum

Come along and learn all about Florence Nightingale and the Victorian's.

We have simple self led activites that you can do in the museum and take home with you. These activites are not always led but are simple activites and if you do need any help please ask a member of staff.

Drop in activities Monday - Friday 11 - 2pm

Magic Lantern Show

Monday 30th August

11am - 1pm and 2pm - 4pm

This is a bookable event

In this 2-hour Workshop, photographer and researcher Simon Warner explores the history of the Magic Lantern and shows a selection of his Victorian slides. Participants can design their own slides on acetate using a modern variation of glass painting techniques. These will be projected at the end of the session.

Price:

Admission price to the museum plus £2 per child taking part in the magic lantern show.
